From 2011 to 2013, I’ve done a research master thesis at the University Bordeaux 3 Montaigne on : The submarines bases of Bordeaux compared to the U-Boat base of Saint-Nazaire, from 1940 to 2010. Then in October 2013, I started a PhD regarding West Atlantic coast U-Boot-Bunkers’ from 1940 to 2010.
As I needed a job, I had to put in parenthesis this huge project even though so many pages are written. Nonetheless, I have continued, while teaching in different high-schools, to participate into conferences, submit papers and get published (last publication: October 2019, last conference: La Rochelle, February 2020). My future project is to re-enlist in a University to pursue that work.
Besides, I still can organise historical visits in the five cities that have U-Boot-Bunker which are: Bordeaux, La Rochelle (La Pallice), Saint-Nazaire, Lorient or Brest.
